Florida Vacation 2012

As a family of 3 we had never been on an actual vacation. In fact, Jeff and I have never been on a vacation that required an airplane. When Jeff's friend Casey and his wife moved to Boca Raton, Florida we decided that we would come visit. We had SO much fun. This was Madelynn's first time on a beach and I think she would have moved in. We had a great time trying out new beaches, finding good food, and spending time with friends. 

This was her first time to play at the beach. I did not think I was EVER going to get all of the sand off of her....

So cute collecting seashells. She keeps all of the seashells she collected in her "treasure box" (a pink ballerina music box).

I thought the area behind Casey's house was landscaped beautifully!

 We stayed in a hotel our last night there. 

So sad...did not want to go home...

Minnie Mouse

As I mentioned before, Madelynn had a Minnie Mouse Birthday party. My mom so wonderfully made this cute Minnie Mouse inspired dress and I made the bows and shoes. I am so in love with how it turned out. Here are her 3 year old pictures taken in the outfit.

Happy Birthday Madelynn!

Okay, so it is not September but in the spirit of me playing catch up...lets pretend that it is. Madelynn had a Minnie Mouse themed birthday and had so much fun! The dance studio has a bounce house that we borrowed for the back yard and all the kids had a great time playing in it. Madelynn especially loved when everyone left and she got the bounce house all to herself! This year, Madelynn really loves all things Disney Junior. For her birthday she asked for anything Mickey or Minnie, Doc McStuffins, and Jake and the Neverland Pirates. She also still loves Thomas the Train and other PBS shows. I of course, had a great time DIYing her party once again.

The favors- there was a Mickey Mouse bubbles and Mickey lollipops.

I made this off of pinterest! You blow up different size balloons, make a paste, run yarn through it, and cover the balloon. Then you pop the balloons to get this! I was very impressed with myself! HA!

Opening presents! She was wearing a cute dress made by grandma, but grandma also made her a cute shirt to wear so she wouldn't get her dress dirty while she was eating.

We had a great time celebrating with our sweet girl, she is such a blessing to our family!!
