Random Pictures of Lately

Okay...I promised pictures.

This is Madelynn and her cousin Caralee (7 months) playing at the gymnastics place where other cousin Kaitlin had her 4th birthday party.

We had fun at the pool with a ton of family where we barbecued and swam all day!


This is Madelynn trying to pull up. This was the first time I ever saw her do it. Yes...that is Jeff in the backround videotaping with our new video camera--Just in time for Madelynn's first birthday coming up here fast in a couple of weeks! Hopefully I can figure out how to upload those videos to the computer and post them as well.

Documenting...

I will do another post soon with some updated pictures...but I need to document some things before I forget.

1. Madelynn is now pulling up on things. She did it for the first time on August 7th. I didn't see her do it until August 15th!! Now she thinks she is super baby. She tries to pull up on ANYTHING she can get her paws on and tries to cruise down it, get things off of the couch, stand on her own, and then "walk (fall)" into whoever is closest's arms. She also thinks she can stand up in the middle of the floor on her own (she can't) but she tries. She looks SO big when she is standing.

2. She loves to sing. She will sing along with Barney songs, and the songs that have been taught to her. Patty Cake is a long time favorite and she does the "roll part", then waits for you to tickle her on "baby and me!" She learned that from Grandma C. Now days, she can Itsy Bitsy Spider, and If All the Raindrops (she opens her mouth and does the ehh ehh ehh part...you have to know the song...)

3. She is getting to the stage where if there is something Madelynn wants...Madelynn gets... and boy does she throw a whopping tantrum if it is taken away from her. Favorite things include the remote control, my camera, my car keys, my cell phone, and anything else she is not supposed to have.

4. She also thinks she can TALK! She says the normal baby things- mama, dada, nana, baba, kk...but everyonce in a while we will hear her copy something EXACTLY. I have personally heard her say "Good Girl" and "Cookie".

I think that is it for now. I will post picture soon. My computer has been broken for a while now...but now it is fixed!!! Yay!!!

Loves Dogs

Madelynn LOVES dogs. She loves Princess and Missy at Grandma's house, Cyrus at Nana's, and her sweet dog Sadie at home. Luckily, Sadie loves her back. Madelynn runs over Sadie with her walker, pulls on her ears and mouth, knocks over her water bowl, and tries to eat her tags around her neck. But Sadie sits there and takes it, and gives Madelynn kisses.

One Month Later--- July 4th!

Madelynn and I were at the family reunion on July 4th, but left and drove to Jeff's brother Josh's house in Kemp which happened to be on our way home! Jeff met us there and we had a wonderful time! They made burgers and fajitas ( I LOVED the fajitas), and we had fireworks too. Madelynn was not too thrilled with the fireworks, and preferred to watch those from indoors. Below she is eating her dinner, and playing in the living room at Josh's house. Lots of fun!
